We install stoves and multi-fuel stoves i.e gas etc. We install solid fuel fireplaces i.e wood and coal. But most importantly we are HETAS registered, not all fitters are!

Fireplace Fitting

PROFESSIONAL FIREPLACE FITTING

Our fireplace fitting service is for everyone, we will fit a fireplace you have bought on-line or from a shop.

All our fitters are HETAS and CORGI trained with years of experience.

Many shops shy away from installation, and offer just a supply only service. Here at Tyneside Stoves Ltd. we will happily install your own fireplaces, recommend a chimney sweep, or conduct site visits for everyone.

We not only work on a one on one basis with homeowners, but can also liaise with architects, interior designers, builders and property developers.

Another speciality is Made to Measure Hearths & Surrounds. Our bespoke Hearths & Surrounds represent excellent value for money. We can create any design or size to suit your home.

For those that need to replace or order a new gas fire (for an existing fireplace), we will order the gas fire ‘made to measure’, especially useful for existing cast iron fireplaces. For a small fee we can do a home visit and have the template drawn up by an expert.

If you cannot find what you are looking for, give us a call on 01670 817177, or use our contact us page. We will be happy to assist you.

We offer our customers a complete service, from removing the old fireplace to installing your new one.

All necessary brickwork, plastering etc. is taken care of for you, all that may be required to finish off is possibly a bit of decorating. Which we can arrange for you as well if you wish.

Choosing a fire place is a big investment in both time and money, we have years of experience and expertise in fireplace fitting, we are of course CORGI and HETAS registered.

We never forget it’s you home and all installations are carried out with the minimum of disturbance to yourselves and the site will be left clean and tidy.

Stove Fitting

PROFESSIONAL STOVE FITTING

Stove Design Service for Woodburning or Multifuel Stoves.

We design stove installations from simple fireplace fittings to complete new double skin insulated flue systems and advise you exactly what you’ll need for the job of installing your stove and how much it will cost. That way you can have the stove arrive at your home complete with everything necessary for us to install it, and if needed, we liaise with yourself or your builder to make sure that everything goes smoothly

All advice is given, and questions answered freely, however don’t forget that ALL installations or work to a chimney are now notifiable to your local councils building control department. Therefore it is much easier to use a HETAS registered competent person.

HETAS The official controlling body for Multifuel appliances and associated equipment, much like CORGI is for gas appliances.

Why should you use a HETAS competent person? – All those registered with HETAS have to have passed an exam and have enough experience to be able to provide a service to a certain standard.

HETAS engineers must also have third party insurance. HETAS conduct inspections of work carried out to ensure that it not only complies but is also of a good quality and the service provided has been satisfactory. Any complaints can therefore be directed at HETAS who can follow them up. Using HETAS removes any need for the homeowner to approach their council as the installation engineer does all of this as part of the job, thereby ensuring all building regulations are complied with.

HETAS is the organisation recognised by the Department of the Environment as the official testing and approval body for the solid fuel industry.

The distinctive three-tick logo is a benchmark for quality and provides a seal of approval in which consumers can place their trust.

Tyneside Stoves Ltd. is a HETAS registered company.
